Your music on hold options are programmed by the Systems Administrator. Please contact your Systems Administrator for changes to your on-hold music.

This command pages all extensions at once.

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the PAGE hard key.
3. Begin speaking after the tone.
4. Hang up the phone when you’re finished paging.

Congratulations! You just made your first page.

This command dials the last number called.

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the REDIAL button.

On the DT430 model, you can also redial older numbers using the circular cursor keys. To do so:

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the Left button on the circular cursor keys to scroll back through your phone’s call history.
3. When you have located the number you wish to call, press the pound (#) or star (*) keys to redial the displayed number.

Good on you! You’ve just redialed a phone number.

This command allows you to choose a different tone for incoming calls.

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the FEATURE hard key + 3 on the number keypad.
3. Keep pressing 3 to scroll through your ringtone options.
4. To adjust the volume, press the Up and Down buttons on the circular cursor keys.
5. Return the handset to its cradle.

The last ringtone you listened to will be the tone you hear when a new call comes in.

Keep it up! You’ve just set a personal ringtone for your phone.

This command allows you to create a joint call between multiple parties.

1. Lift the handset and dial the first number. (Remember to dial 9 first to make an outgoing call.)
2. Press the CONF soft key or CONF button.
3. Dial the second number. Dial 9 first for an outside call.
4. After the second caller picks up, press the ADD soft key, or press the CONF button twice.

To add members to your conference call:

1. Follow steps 1 through 4 in the section above.
2. Dial a third number.
   Press the ADD soft key after the second caller picks up.
3. Press the BEGIN soft key to establish a four-way conference call. You may not add more than three internal and three external parties, including yourself.

Brilliant! You’ve just started your first conference call.

Turn on DND using these steps:

1. Press the SPEAKER soft key, then the MORE OPTIONS (>>>>) soft key until you see DND displayed.
2. Press the DND soft key, and you’ll have re-enabled DND.

Turn Off DND by:

1. Press the DND soft key. The screen will display the word “CANCEL” to let you know that DND has been turned off.

Good work! You’ve just turned on and off Do Not Disturb.

When you receive a new message, you will notice an alert on the call indicator lamp at the top of the phone. The lamp will stay lit when you have a new, unplayed voicemail.
To check the voicemail:

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the middle ENTER key on the circular cursor to access the Shortcut Menu.
3. On the settings display, scroll until option 2: VM is highlighted. You may scroll using the Up and Down buttons on the circular cursor keys.
4. Press the middle ENTER key on the circular cursor or the OK soft key.
5. Press the 2 button on the keypad to navigate to access Voicemail.
6. Follow the instructions given to you over the handset to navigate the voicemail system.

Way to go! You’ve just checked your first voicemail!

The call forwarding feature allows you to send all calls directly to voicemail until call forwarding is turned off.
Here’s how to set it:

1. Press the MORE OPTIONS (>>>>) soft key until you see FDA displayed on screen.
2. Press the FDA soft key to access Call Forwarding – All.
3. Enter your phone’s extension to direct calls to voicemail.
4. Press the SPEAKER key to set Call Forwarding – All.

Well done! You’ve just set call forwarding.

To cancel:

1. Use the MORE OPTIONS (>>>>) soft key to navigate back to FDA.
2. Press the star (*) key to cancel, then press the SPEAKER key to finalize.

This command allows you to record a new saved message to greet callers who get your voicemail.

1. Lift the handset.
2. Press the middle ENTER key on the circular cursor to access the Shortcut Menu.
3. On the settings display, scroll until option 2: VM is highlighted. You may scroll using the Up and Down buttons on the circular cursor keys.
4. Press the middle ENTER key on the circular cursor or the OK soft key.
5. Press the 2 button on the keypad to access Voicemail.
6. Follow the instructions given to you over the handset to navigate the voicemail system and record a new message.

Congrats! You’ve just changed the outgoing message on your voicemail!

Your directory display name is programmed in the common directory by the Systems Administrator. Please contact them for changes to your directory name.

The call forwarding feature allows you to direct all calls to another extension until call forwarding is turned off.
Here’s how to set it:

1. Press the MORE OPTIONS (>>>>) soft key until you see FDA displayed on screen.
2. Press the FDA soft key to access Call Forwarding – All.
3. Enter your phone’s extension to direct calls to voicemail.
4. Press the SPEAKER key to set Call Forwarding – All.

Nice! You’ve just set call forwarding.

To cancel:

1. Use the MORE OPTIONS (>>>>) soft key to navigate back to FDA.
2. Press the star (*) key to cancel, then press the SPEAKER key to finalize.

This command allows you to mute yourself while a call is in progress. You will still be able to hear the other parties on the line, but they will not be able to hear you until mute is cancelled.

1. While a call is in progress, press the MUTE soft key.
2. Press the MUTE soft key a second time to turn off mute.

Good on you! You’ve just learned how to use the mute feature!

This command allows you to direct a call to another extension.

1. While a call is in progress, press the TRANSFER hard key. You will hear a special tone letting you know that the caller has been placed on hold.
2. Once you hear the dial tone, dial the extension of the transfer destination.
3. Once the second party picks up, announce the transfer.
4. Replace the handset.

Nice going! You just transferred your first call.

This command allows you to edit the system clock displayed on your phone screen.

1. Press the SPEAKER hard key. You will hear a dial tone.
2. Dial the System Clock access code. Your System Administrator should be able to give you the code if you don’t know it.
3. Enter the new time in HHMMSS format using the number keypad.
4. Press the SPEAKER hard key again to set the time.

Bravo! You’ve just edited the display time on your phone.

You can set which calls ring your telephone as well as how the ringing sounds for each call. Distinctive Ringing changes the ringing sound for your incoming calls (see below). User Programmable Features let you turn ringing on and off.

To use Distinctive Ringing to change the sound of your incoming calls: Push Menu + More + Ring + Key. Do one of the following: For line keys, push Line. For Call Coverage keys, push Cck. For Group Call Pickup keys, push Pkup. Select the feature key whose ringing you want to change. Dial one of the following to select the ring sound: For two mid-pitch rings (type A), dial 1. For two high-pitch rings (type B), dial 2. For two very high-pitch rings (type C), dial 3. Press SPEAKER to exit. See Distinctive Ringing in the DSX Software Manual for more.

1. Press the “Menu” softkey at the top of the phone
2. Enter 61 on the dial pad
3. Press the “Select” softkey at the top of the phone
4. Press the “Set” softkey at the top of the phone
5. Enter the phone number you can be reached at, don’t forget to include the 91(area code)+number
6. Press “Next” softkey at the top of the phone
7. Press “All” softkey at the top of the phone
8. Press “Save” softkey at the top of the phone
9. The phone will beep and forwarding will be active.
10. Press the Speaker button or Exit button to finish

Now to disable either of these features you will need to follow these steps:

1. Press the “Menu” softkey at the top of the phone
2. Enter 66 or 61 on the dial pad (which ever you have set)
3. Press the “Select” softkey at the top of the phone
4. Press the “Cancel” softkey at the top of the phone
5. Phone will beep and forwarding will be deactivated
6. Press the Speaker button or Exit button to finish
